PREDICTION: PACQUIAO OVER DELA HOYA

The mega bout of the year, Boxing World’s pound for pound Manny Pacquiao against Boxing’s Golden Boy Oscar Dela Hoya is nearing!

Both camps have already begun trumpeting their best preparations for the bout.

Both camps predict knockout victory as both trainers assured that their fighters are in the best shape of their lives.

As a humble boxing fan, I predict a victory of Pacquiao over Dela Hoya.

It could be a knockout or decision again with Pacman emerging as victor.

Why I say so.

Again, Pacman’s speed and youth will be the huge difference.

Speed to overcome Dela Hoya’s power and height.

Dela Hoya’s age and recent performance are enough evidence.

The golden boy is old 35 not young 35.

His showings in his last three bouts are lacklustre.

His only escape I believe is scoring a knockout in the early rounds.

If he connects with his so called vaulted power surely Pacman’s chance will end there.

I am sure that Pacman will never recover in case he got hit because Dela Hoya’s power will bee too much for me to shake off or withstand.

If he got hit, surely he can not run and be at the Golden Boy’s mercy.

Anyway I assume that Pacman’s trainer has antidote for that and Pacman knows too well of such reality.

If Pacman survives the 5th round and still remain unhurt, he will coast for a knockout or decision victory.

I have the highest respect to Dela Hoya.

He is probably one of the greatest boxer ever produce though not among the all time greats in the level of Mohammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Rocky Marciano and others.

At this time, he is way past his prime.

If the bout is staged two years earlier even with Pacman at the peak of his career, Dela Hoya will surely come out the winner.

As Pacman’s trainer Freddie Roach said, he can’t pull the trigger already and it is undeniable.
